I set up an SHR volume (Synology Hybrid Raid) with my spare 1TB HDs and mess around with it and try to figure out how am I gonna upgrade my Synology Hard Drives to Larger Capacity in the future and keep my data. When I was waiting for my 8TB HD I set up my DS418 with 3 old 1TB hard drives in order to test the DS418. Sadly they came broken because Amazon didn’t pack them correctly and La Poste broke them during shipping. Recently I ordered a NAS Synology DS418 and 3 Seagate hard drives (HDs) of 8TB on Amazon.
